Finally i took some pictures of my 2009 GTS 300 ongoing project.
I bought this 300 second hand with only 1800 km on the tacho.
So far i did these mods :

Cosmetical :

*13 inch MP3 500 Business wheels powdercoated in satin black with white reflective rim striping
* Debadged
* Leds all round.
* Daylight "running" lights using bottom front indicators : Running lights for the GTS.
* Osram H4 Night breaker headlight
* Smidsy Brake light modulator : Tailmate brake light flasher
* 70 mm "Fake" Oberon mirrors using original bar ends painted black.
* Piaggio Vespa mono gel saddle : New mono gel saddle for the GTS
* Jettin black short visor
* Ram mount for GPS + power cable : Progetto RAM (for LX & GTS)
* Chrome nose grill painted black
* Dashboard painted black
* Black SIP sport lever set

Mechanical :

* Oil temperature gauge
* Malossi springs front & rear
* Optima 4 battery charger connector (lengthened & repositioned to the rear)
* Remus SS exhaust without cat. DB killer shortened for some extra noise.
* Repositioned the attachment of the spring from the side stand so it remains in it's open position.
* Malossi Vario
* Malossi Torque Drive
* Malossi Torsion controller
* Zelioni type III brake discs
* Malossi MHR synt. brake pads

where can we find those Oberon mirrors?
Do you have some manual for installing the mirrors on the original bar ends?

Thanks!

Verrry nice.

I have the same but used the bar ends supplied. 75mm dia are best and offer suprisingly good field of vision. Why did you use the original bar ends?

* Piaggio Vespa mono gel saddle : New mono gel saddle for the GTS
We've discussed in other posting. Now you've had an opportunity to test the seat how comfortable do you find it? and seating position?
btw I like the look of the Pirate Upholstery "Cafe' Racer GTS lowered" I'll have to add to my wish list for now (limited budget)

* Jettin black short visor
Nice, could probably stretch to that.

* Dashboard painted black
I might have a go at this when I get some spare time. Looks cool.

* Testing the Dr.Pulley myth...
I'm waiting for my 13g's from SIP. I noticed they sell 13.5's but didn't see these on DR. Pulley's own site!
keep us posted on your testing. I'll do the same.

Chris.

Well, my dealer had those laying around ready to use with the Oberons. Holes drilled and tapped. Also the heavier weights. The Oberons are made of alu.

* Piaggio Vespa mono gel saddle : New mono gel saddle for the GTS

Very comfortable but i've still have to test it for a longer period of driving.
I'll post the result here.

* Jettin black short visor
Nice, could probably stretch to that.

Maybe i'm going to paint that in the body color, that was my original idea.

* Dashboard painted black
I might have a go at this when I get some spare time. Looks cool.

Painted in body color looks even better.

I'm waiting for 12 gr's. Not shure if i made the correct decision...

Last week, i changed the mirrors for "fake" Oberons :

http://www.scooter-center.com/scoweb/pages/productdetail.grid?product=325565290863232&category1=A&category2=CAT&lang=de

A friend of mine bought these but would not use them.

Here's a picture of the Oberon and "china" mirror set:

The original Oberons i have are silver (aluminum) 60 mm ones with flat mirror.
The fakes are black 70 mm ones with convex mirror. The bar-ends are made of aluminum

The thicker end of the rod fits in to the bar-end in two ways, at the side or at the end of the bar-end and is hold in place using a M10 Allen bolt.
The mirror goes on, on the other side using a M4 Allen bolt.
You have to cut the smaller end of the bar-and because the steering rod is not hollow and the bar-ends will not fit.

I have not used the original aluminum bar-end of the sets but special made iron ones. (using the original bar-ends).

At this moment the ride is harder than usual, maybe because the tires are new and in combo with the low profile.
I'm running 2,0 bar front and rear now but also Malossi's around and adjusted.

question
Hi progetto
i can see that you r using the small one the (black)
The back flasher from superBrightLEDS is almost double size
BUT THE PRICE ON SUPERBRIGHTLEDS IS REALLY ATTRACTIVE

IF 300 AND GTV HAVE THE SAME LIGHTS THE ONLY REMAINING IS THE SIZE

Ah ok. Thanks for the inspiration! I'm going to do exactly this. I been on the hunt for clean and sleek bar ends and sat the Oberon (or fakes) but kne they were aluminum so would lighten the bars and may alter handling. With this "mod" I keep my stock weighted bar ends WITH functional and leek mirrors!

Kris, do you have a picture of your vespa taken from the back?
Is the center of the rear wheel alligned with the center of the scooter?

No picture of that but the raar wheel sits perfectly center with the center with the scooter.

My dealer machined both wheels to fit perfect.

I think around 2 mm but i'm not shure...
At the raar there's the problem that the cone will not fit inside the center hole.
He machined the rim to fit but i think it's easier to machine the cone.
