Damn, damn, damn! I didn't know where this was, but the clues were great. So, after an hour of researching and mapping, I found it. Well, I was about to take off (from SF) and snatch it from under glasseye when I discovered a nail in my rear tire! I have a slow leak . I could try to repair it myself, but it's a small nail and a slow leak. I'm afraid that if I try to fix it I'll damage the tire... Damn, damn, damn!

Yet another reason to get a second scooter... hmmm...

Doh!

And here I am swapping wheels on two different GTSs as we speak. If you could get your bike to Oakland, I would put one of them on... probably not advisable, though.

Dude . . . That one was too easy. I grew up on the opposite side of there and recognized it immediately.

On another note, I meant to say "W-ayward" b/c every off-center chic I've dated from that area has been, in my eyes, from W-wayward, Union Stinky, Freak-mont, or Mil-penis. (Nothing personal to anyone from there on the list)

You may have, but most people don't even know it's there. You can't see it from a car, and getting to that spot is slightly circuitous. I was hoping to introduce more people to this somewhat unknown spot.

Good call. Even I didn't know ppl could picnic out there (like I'd want to w/ that smell . . .BLECH!).

Likewise, I made the trek up to Palomares b/c I grow weary of the roads around the South Bay. If I took a pic on Shannon-Hicks, it'd be picked up easily.

You were right btw - you said "We should keep riding" when we got to the Sea-Pac Hotel. At leisurely paces I can keep riding for hours, mind separated from body, enriching the soul.

Seems this location has gotten stale. A bunch of you know where it is, but haven't gone and done the photo.

Just got back from taking the photo only to find that the geek in the basement took my computer to update it. My card reader won't work on this machine

I also discovered a setting on my camera (which I've had for 2.5 years) that makes pics smaller for web-posting. Doh! All this time I've been trying to deal with software or the kind hearts of others.

way to go! and now I can go for lunch instead of riding out there

although I guess I should have gone for this one since I'm sure the next will be further north!! can't wait to see where it's at.

Sorry Jess. 2 reasons I couldn't make it to take that shot:
A. My bike is STILL being held hostage by Roseville Vespa
B. I live at least 2.5 hours away from that location (Travel & traffic time).

I've been invited by my former bandmate and other scooterists in the South Bay to eventually take my ass down there on a ride. When I do
I'll find some places to take photos!!!

So I guess nobody's taking that bonus I threw out there last week.

4 hours to go.

Oh well . . . guess that extra drink is going to me.
