That may be true, but there is only one flash going off and the photographer is standing slightly off to to their right.

And here's how I know that.

#1- that's a reflection from the flash, but it's not on the opposite side of the sign.

#2 - if you compare this shadow to #3 you'll notice it's lighter, that's because she is closer and getting bounce back from the sign. He's far away so the shadow is darker and more off center.

#4 - same thing, his shadow is more off to his left.


There is only one flash going off and he is just off her right side.

A couple of other things, though she may not look like it, she's wearing more make-up then you think, the only place you see any flash reflection on her is a little bit on her right shoulder - compare that to his face.

And lastly look at her neck, it's darker on her left. That's the angle of the shot, it looks like it's straight on, but it's not look at the bottom of the sign.

Intriguing analysis, but I'm going to have to stick with my Magic Flashbulb Theory. Don't you think it's a little odd that Camila Alves is looking directly into one camera lens, while Mr. McConaughey is looking off to the left (his right), suggesting that there were not one but at least TWO, let me repeat, TWO photographers in the area. Oh yes, it's easy to pin it all on the photographer Ms. Alves is staring at, but eyewitness reports told of more than one flash in the area. If one in front, one to McConaughey's right, might we not also intuit that there very well might have been another cameraman to his left, behind the red carpeted knoll?

Also, don't you think it's more than a little telling that Ms. Alves' hair, dress, and the inexplicable bulge in Mr. McConaughey's pants all share the same direction of movement...back, and to the left....back, and to the left...BACK...and to the left.

I rest my case. I will be forwarding this thread on to Oliver Stone for possible theatrical development.

As much as some of Mothersbaugh's Devo costumes look like they belong on the moon, there's only one artist in the world who can claim to have actually walked there. This astronaut-turned-painter uses the tread of his (replica) moon boots to add texture to his pieces, and even sprinkles real moon dust into his paint, jacking up his work's badass quotient by more than a few percentage points.

In my day, a simple nudie magazine was enough to get an adolescent boy's blood racing. Today, there is this. While the Wikipedia page devoted to _____ Fandom (with the ____ as your GIS word...a word that I naively thought simply referred to something that had fur) purports that these animal doppelgangers have been around since the 80's, it seems the internet is more than responsible for making it more widespread these past few years. On the more innocent side of the spectrum, fans say that these characters serve as online animal representations of their inner selves. However, a simple GIS reveals a plethora of drawings of these human/animal hybrids stretched in more sexual positions than even the Kama Sutra could imagine.

Hmmmm. Whatever floats your boat. I'd stick with the nudie magazines.

Well I check that (I was bored) and must say they need to do a little work there, Hardy is not dead and this gentleman who is considered to be one of the most influential fiction writers of the early 20th century may be dead, but no matter how much he metamorphosis' he an't ever going to be considered "Hot"

Who needs paint brushes when insect legs will do just fine? This guy applies a non-toxic paint to the legs of various insects, then lets them loose on his canvas. While he does control the resulting image to a certain extent - choosing the bugs' starting points and herding them along the canvas with lights - he still provides a means of self expression for critters who for too long have remained voiceless as they were being screamed at, squashed in napkins and flushed down the toilet.
