Included are a couple pics that made me think about getting a scooter for everyday use. I figured that if a bazillion people in SE Asia can get along without a car, I might be fine with one scooter and five cars (yeah, too many).

It is my understanding that the air is much better since the two-cycle engines were outlawed.

Most of these are Vietnam, while a couple are Thailand.
Four scooters, 11 people. Look at the traffic coming
Thats about 330 POUNDS!
Four up on a Honda
Once this little guy saw the lens he had a huge smile and waved
See the legs poking out?
From the 23rd floor, this was pure traffic circle entertainment. You basically hid on the off side of something bigger and gassed it.

Love the pics. Funny what's everyday acceptable some places. Four or five people on a scooter, no helmets jackets or side reflectors. And no Child seats!!

The face masks were pollution control. At cyclo-tour (bicycle with tourist as the front impact zone) level you could tell why they were needed, but I really only think they'd filter out the chunks of pollution, not the gasses.

I walked by a store that had mind boggling ranges of styles and colors, everything from Scottish Tartans to Hello Kitty.

Here are a few more that were interesting, although the best one you'd have to believe me on which is first, is one with the scooter passenger holding a sheet of glass in his lap.
Good choice of shoes for scootering
Slight delay at a traffic light
View from ground level, now all you need is almost constant honking, and a smoking cyclo driver over your shoulder.
Great stack of boxes. Sorta suggests that the MSF load triangle, can be used, or not?
This is the guy with the sheet of glass, look closely. THis is zoomed in about 1200%

I've got an '81 Honda Passport, which is just a newer Super Cub. I might sell it to ya if you're interested. It's in pretty good shape, with about 500 original miles.

I love seeing photos like this. Always makes me realize that the US is the exception, and not the rule, when it comes to scooters. Millions of Asians can't be wrong!
