Tagged it! Couldn't quite get the same angle or area as Molly due to too many vehicles. Looking down onto Union Station from Plazita Olvera.

by the way I saw about 6 scooters parked right on the entrance (alameda) to Plazita Olvera.

As my students say, "Tag, you're it!" I intentionally covered part of the sign that says "Center".

Clue: It's east of downtown LA. Some students in the area refer to it as "el parque de los patos" or "The duck's park".

i drove around Echo Park Lake and did not spot it there... anyone else out looking?

Here's another Clue: There's a sheriff station on the right of the park and a municipal court building, recently constructed, on the left, along with civic center offices.

This is what happened last night (10 stitches) not due to riding, but due to a would be neighborhood car thief, a tire iron and being a vigilante. So no vespa for a while...

thanks all! GF and I were going to get some late night coffee. Drove around the corner and saw a man trying to steal a pickup truck. I went after him along with two other random people. Got him cornered in a parking lot, he came after me with the tire iron, I blocked it and gave him a nice little punch. He ran out from another entrance of the parking lot and the LAPD was waiting for him at the end of the block.

Yep! Not just the observatory!! We had to travel up the hill, through the traffic, past security, past the tour buses, up the pedestrian path, around the landmark and to the sundial.... great tag!

yeah, much kudos to my GF and her charming pink outfit - she "worked" the security guards like little puppies
