Here's a NEW game to pass the time at work and sharpen your movie quote trivia skills! Rules: Post 3 quotes from any movie. To "win the tag", the poster must id both the actor and the movie the quote came from. Hints given upon request. Footnote: The original poster can verify the answers. If an answer is wrong., a 2nd poster can swoop in and "steal the tag" with a correct reply. Enjoy!

Here goes the first:

A) "Great shot kid, that was one in a million".

B) "I do, what I do best, take scores, you do what you do best--try to stop guys like me".

C) "Are those real bones? Monkey, Monkey Bones"?

Bravo Corinthian. !!

It was Christopher Walken in Domino Harvey with the line. Another nutty CW quote.

Your turn with 3 more.....play on..

Great choice of movies!

As you wish: Westley (Cary Elwes) The Princess Bride
(And this line has been used in other movies too...)

Bloody typical: Charlie, Department of Works (Nigel Planer) Brazil

Laugh-a while you can: Lord John Whorfin (John Lithgow) Buckaroo Banzai

(Give me a few minutes to come up with the next set.)

Complete Boba Fett dialogue

"As you wish."
- Boba Fett to: Vader

"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me."
- Boba Fett re: Han Solo

"He's no good to me dead."
- Boba Fett

"Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold."
- Boba Fett

If you want to get SUPER NERDY he has several lines in "The Star Wars Holiday Special" as well.

2) "It seems you feel our work is not a benefit to the public."

3) "Sad face."

lol! you guys rule with the star wars dialogue. Star Wars geeks apply here! Small side bar...what did you guys think of the clone wars- animated film? I hear it's to set up the animated tv show, so critics trashed the film.

I though it was "ok"......the animation imho was lacking something.

Didn't see it... have no desire to see it... fed up with George Lucas as this point... Episodes 1-3 didn't do anything for me... I was mildly entertained, but the magic is gone... Once you start using CGI for just about everything, it kills the fantasy.

I miss the costumes and the make-up and the miniatures...

If Peter Jackson had done the first 3 'sodes, they would have been AMAZING!

that's my 2 pennies, anyway...

Anyone guess those new quotes, yet... I'm dying to know what the 2nd one is from...

OK. Partial credit so let me just kill it.

1) Yes, the Twelve Chairs. Father Fyodor (Dom DeLuise).
Perhaps a bit obscure for you young 'uns.

2) Yes, Bladerunner. Said by Rachael (played by Sean Young) when Dekard first comes to visit. "Do you like our owl?"

3) The expanded quote was:

"Alright, yer 'fugees now. Show Syd the 'fugee face. Sad face."

Children of Men - Syd - Peter Mullan

The quote I probably should have used from that movie was: "Syd doesn't want to know. Syd doesn't care."

Play on!

I'll answer the two:

1) Blazing Saddles. Nice Mel Brooks tie-in.

"The sheriff's a [church bells drown out word]"
"What did he say?"
"He said the sheriff is near."

Up rides Cleavon Little, the new sheriff.

and

2) "Dirty Dee, you're a baddy daddy lamatai tebby chai! "

OK, now for ME this one was obscure. Pootie Tang?! (Lance Crouther)

And then I'll be "obscure" - aka older films - one last time:

1) A lot of people enjoy being dead.

2) I hope you ain't going to be a hard case.

3) I present now my story - full of mystery and intrigue. Rich in irony, and most satirical.

And provide hints: The first is from a cult classic, the second from a film that has a much, much more famous quote (best delivered with a Southern drawl), and the third from what may have been one of the most pointless, awful sci-fi movies made in the '70s. (Additional hint...I doubt the lead actor ever wore heels in any other movie.)

Next 3) (note) Sock head posted 3 as well previously---that's up for grabs to!

Here are my 3:

" Eat your vegetables. Don't just push 'em around, eat 'em. I ain't playin'!"

" A man walks into a bar with a giraffe. They both get pissed. The giraffe falls over. The man goes to leave and the bartender says, "Oi. You can't leave that lyin' there." And the man says, "No. It's not a lion. It's a giraffe."

"It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does"

I love movies (good ones for obvious reasons) but I'm 'poorly viewed' as it were. I just don't see many and my rental card expired years ago with nary a scratch on it. As a result, I suck at this thread (did get Star Wars )

I'm surprised mine are stumpers... I'd a thought only the last one would've been somewhat obscure. I'll toss some hints if need be.
