I just finished this little winter project.

As i don't have the original mirrors any more, i also lost a decent mounting point for my Garmin Nuvi GPS.

While "google-ing" around i found this on the RAM Mount site :

RAM-B-367U

RAM Motorcycle Base with hole and M8 bolt(s)
Attachment Point: Motorcycle handlebar top clamp, any bike that uses an M8 threaded bolt.
Included: (1 QTY) 1" Rubber ball
(1 QTY) M8 x 55 bolt
(1 QTY) M8 x 60 bolt
(1 QTY) M8 x 65 bolt
Price: EUR15.00 (+- $20 / £13)

Using the original holes and fixings of the mirrors, combined with chome covers i could make this resulting in a decent, vibration free and minimal solution.
