New to Vespa, this site and scooters. have always liked the vintage look and history. While looking on Craigslist a couple days ago I ran across a Vespa that was involved in the F4 tornado a couple years ago in this are. Killed almost 50 people and made national news. Owner just did not want to fool with repair. It was retrieved from across his street right after the storm. No sitting in a ditch full of water. Handle bars where broken and the leg shield bent up. Scratches all over.

Here are photos the way I bought it.

I have on order a new front fender, new upper and used lower headset, new clutch and brake levers and rubber kit. I hope this will be enough to get it running and then see what else it will need. If it runs and shifts well I plan a total restore.

Here are pics after I removed the trashed glove box and hammered out some of the dented leg shield.

Welcome to the forum! I'd ditch the fender and just bang out some of those dents.....also, I got a headset lower for the cost of shipping if you want it. Save you about $200+ beans....no one round here seems to be buying and it's time for me to throw around some good karma. Throttle tube too I think.....yours seem to look fine though. You'll need the money for the other stuff you're gonna have to replace.....it'll add up believe me. Ohio scoot peeps have always been good to me. Let me know with a PM.

Edit....Columbus....different state. ok. Doh.
